4 Week Pictures. The puppies are really starting to come alive. They are aware of the world around them and starting to develop personalities. I am Bach, the only boy and promised to Margaret Keene in Australia. It is no exaggeration to say I am an incredible little boy. I have that wonderful shading like Ruffy had as a puppy. Boy am I good looking!! BonBon is still the smallest of the group but gaining on Bubbles. I am a very pretty little girl. It is going to be a difficult pick between me and Bubbles. We are both very pretty. Bubbles and I are why you should make reservations Tamara has first pick of me or Bubbles, Karin has second pick (if she is well enough to be able to handle a new puppy) and Amanda is next. One way or the other I will have a loving home and am not likely to become available. Bubbles is my name. I am a also a very pretty little girl. Tamara will have to choose between my sister BonBon and me. It will be a hard choice but one of us is going to Australia. The other will be happy here in Arizona with Amanda or Karin. I am Boots because of my pretty cream feet. What a beautiful little girl I am. I will look like my daddy Harley!! Whoo hoo. And I am AVAILABLE!! Black and Cream dogs are full English Cream, as surely as the shaded creams above. We all have two chinchilla genes. My siblings would have been red but the chinchilla gene turns them cream. I would have been black and tan but the gene turns my points cream. It has no effect on black hair. My siblings will retain a little black hair on the ears and maybe on the tail. I keep all my black hair and only my "points" turn cream. NOTE my serious look is already starting to change as my face fills out and my nose lengthens. This will be a beautiful girl. |
3 Week Pictures. I think I am starting to get the hang of the lighting. Notice how the same puppy can appear bright cream then darker, it all depends on how close they get to the light. The cream stands out but the black shading is now more visible. Most of it will disappear over the next few weeks. I am Bach, the only boy and promised to Margaret Keene in Australia. I am simply a wonderful little boy. Margaret is going to love me. BonBon the name and growing is the game. I am a very pretty little girl. I am still the smallest but gaining weight and we will just have to see if I catch them or not. I am healthy, happy and full of spunk. As you can see I am also very pretty. Tamara has first pick of me or Bubbles, Karin has second pick (if she is well enough to be able to handle a new puppy) and Amanda is next for me. One way or the other I will have a loving home and am not likely to become available. Bubbles and I are why you should make reservations. Our cream girls are the first to go and are spoken for long before they are born. Bubbles is my name. I am a also a very pretty little girl. Tamara will have to choose between my sister BonBon and me. It will be a hard choice but one of us is going to Australia. The other will be happy here in Arizona with Amanda or Karin. They all look like grumpy old men until their noses stretch out nice and long. The shaded creams have it too if you look closely but the two colors emphasize it. It is puppy cute and shows Harley has again reporduced true to his blood. This will be a beautiful girl. |
2 Week Pictures. We have our eyes open. I did a little better with the lighting this time. Notice how the same puppy can appear bright cream then darker, it all depends on how close they get to the light. They are getting quite creamy now and the light really reflects off of them. I am Bach, the only boy and promised to Margaret Keene in Australia. I am no less than wonderful!! Notice how different the second picture looks than the first. As I creep towrds the light it catches my cream and WOW!!! I will lose all the tiny black hairs on my body and retain only some shading on the tips of my ears and possibly on my tail but not too likely. Mostly my ears. I am a great little boy Margaret is going to love me. BonBon because I am such a sweet little girl and verrrrry pretty. I am up to 9 ounces and doing fine. I am a female and I am sooooo pretty. Tamara will have to choose between my sister BonBon and me. It will be a hard choice but one of us is going to Australia. The other will be happy here in Arizona with Amanda or Karin. I am Boots because of my pretty cream feet. 1 Week Pictures. What a wonderful llitter. As always, I struggle to give you accurate photos. I added lighting but now may have too much light. The puppies appear golden but are really still quite mousy colored. The light must reflect off of the undercoat and show of the cream they will be when they are older. To give you a perspective, the background is DARK GREEN and it looks light green. I will try moving the lights futher back nest week. I never thought I could get too much light. I am Bach, the only boy and promised to Margaret Keene in Australia. I an no less than wonderful!! BonBon because I am such a sweet little girl. The last born of the litter and considerable the smallest I am likely a week younger then the rest. Dogs can get pregnant multiple times and when the oldest is ready to be born they all come out. The female is standing for 10 days and the puppies can literally be conceived that far apart. BonBon kept Roberta up all night with bottle feeding supplements to make sure she got her nourishment but she is 8 ounces now and doing fine. Tamara will have her pick of BonBon and Bubbles. Karin and Amanda will have second pick so it is likely both shaded cream girls are spoken for. What a cutie I am, just like an ice cream bon bon, I could eat her up!!! Bubbles is my name. I am a female and I am going to be a looker. Tamara will have to choose between my sister BonBon and me. It will be a hard choice but one of us is going to Australia. The other will be happy here in Arizona with Amanda or Karin. I am Boots because of my pretty cream feet. What a beautiful little girl I will be. I will look like my daddy Harley!! Whoo hoo. Whelped April 21nd, 20010. Not to be outdone by her sister Ebony, what a nice litter. Three girls and a boy. Three are shaded creams and onr of the little girls is a black and cream Beautiful little English Creams. Remember, all English Creams are born dark (except those who also have the ee gene series which blocks the black hair) and then turn light. These puppies will be colored like Blondie and Candy. They will be light English Cream but will retain some black "shading" on their ears, tails or back. The amount and location of the shading will vary from dog to dog. Of course the black and cream girl will look like her daddy Harley.
Here is what we learn from this litter and the previous litter of BooBoo and Harley. |
BooBoo has 17 Champions in her 5 generation pedigree and Harley boasts International Champion Brandach's Mr. Goodbar, Canadian Champion Billie of Brandach along with several other Rose Farms and Stoneleigh Champions for a total of 17 champions in his 5 generation pedigree. Harley will be a champion in his own time. DASHaHOUNDS WHIMSICAL CHAMPAGNE HOME PAGE DASH OF HARLEQUIN MOON MLEC HOME PAGE
"BooBoo" at 11 weeks "HARLEY" at 12 weeks DASHaHOUNDS WHIMSICAL CHAMPAGNE DASH OF HARLEQUIN MOON AT FULL CIRCLE Shown here as 11 and 12 week puppies to give you an idea what your puppy might look like about the age you bring it home. You can learn more about either parent on their own page and also see them in action in the slide flash show. BooBoo has grown into a real beauty. She is a light EE cream. EE creams have no black hair at all and are rare. Harely is an incredible Black and Cream. For those of you who do not know, a black and cram is 100% English Cream. The English Cream gene is the Chinchilla gene. To be English Cream, a dog must have two Chinchilla genes. A dog who would otherwise have been red (BooBoo) comes out cream, a dog who would otherwise have been black and tan (Harley) comes out black and cream. The Chinchilla gene has no effect on black. So both of these parents are 100% English cream and can only produce Creams, shaded creams or black and creams, all of which are 100% English Cream. The E series gene that BooBoo has eliminates all shading. There must be two EE genes for this to take effect. We know BooBoo has two but do not know if Harley has one or not. So we do not kinow if any of the litter will be EE creams or not. If not, they will be shaded creams andor/ black and creams. These puppies will be EXTRAORDINARY. We expect some show quality English Creams. This will be a "pricey" litter but worth it if you are looking for a high quality English Cream line puppy. You hear a lot about temperament but until you EXPERIENCE the differences you can not appreciate them. Harleyis the original "mellow fellow". He is sweet and never fights with others. Even as a little tyke, NOTHING fazed him. If the other puppies growled at him he simply ignored them. He was not intimidated; it was as though it was beneath him to bother to reply. You could hold him in your lap and pet him or watch TV and he would stay still. Yet he can play fetch with the best of them. BooBoo is moderate temperament, not as wild as her mother nor calm as her father. She is a beautiful blend of both. She is a wonderful dog and her litter will be loving, active, independent and yet controllable. She is loving and she shows it. There are no guarantees and individual puppies can vary greatly but we expect their puppies to be a mix of ACTIVE and MATURE. By MATURE I mean they will hold still to let children pet them and behave well very early. Many puppies are so active and silly they can not be much company for a year or longer. Active puppies are good for young children because they wear each other out but are harder to deal with for the first year. Even mature puppies have abundant energy and can play and fetch, etc. it is just that they will calm down and hold still. Active puppies are almost always in motion. With BooBoo being active and Harley being mellow we expect to get some of each. These two dogs also compliment each other physically. We try very hard to give each owner a realistic expectation of the puppy they adopt. We do not have any mean or ill tempered dogs. We will not tolerate a trouble maker and certainly will not include it in our breeding program, no matter what the pedigree. Some bad or aggressive behavior is learned and some inherited, we try to start you with the best temperament possible to give you that head start.
